What courses do we offer?

We offer courses for various levels – from beginners (A1) to pre-intermediate students (A2).

Standard courses

Levels beginner (A1), basic (A2)

  • 100 lessons (100 x 45 minutes) – duration approx. 4 months
  • Basic phrases, greetings, introduction
  • Topics – family, city, housing and transport, food and drinks, weather
  • Emphasis on grammar, reading with understanding, listening and speaking

Specialized courses

Permanent residence exam preparation (A1)

  • 50 teaching hours (50 x 45 minutes) 
  • A1 level grammar
  • Model tests

Who are the courses for?

The Czech language courses are only designed for non-EU citizens with legal residence in the Czech Republic for a period exceeding 90 days.

The courses are not designed for seekers of international protection.

What are the conditions of participation?

Students pay a refundable deposit of CZK 2,000 prior to the start of the course, the rest of which is free of charge. The deposit is refunded when the student attends at least 70% of the course.

The courses are not sequential; registration for the following level is required.

You can study a course at the same level only once every 12 months and twice at the most in total!

Participation in the course does not constitute eligible grounds for applying for a student visa for the stay in the Czech Republic.

Where do the courses take place?

Most of the courses take place at the Integration Centre Prague at Žitná 1574/51, 110 00 Prague 1. Some of the advanced courses will take place in some city districts.

There are three simple steps to register.

Getting an ID and passing an on-line test

19th of August 2019

Fill up your personal and contact details. 

Complete our online sorting test, which will determine the level of your Czech. Based on the result, the system will offer you only the courses in line with your level on the day of enrolment.


On-line registration for a course

3rd of September 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

After logging into the system using your ID on the day of online enrolment, you choose a specific available course.

Online enrolment starts on a specific day and hour and ends with filling up the capacity. 

PLEASE NOTE: Capacity of courses can be reached during a few seconds after starting the online enrolment. 

Once you successfully enrol online, you will receive an e-mail with additional organizational information. 


Completing your registration at the ICP central office

Come personally with an identification document and pay the refundable deposit of CZK 2,000 (in cash).

ATTENTION: All the aforementioned steps of registration are required to enrol in a course.

Czech language courses for children

from 6 to 15

The capacity of the Summer Czech courses for children is full.

Afternoon courses of Czech language for basic level children

  • 2 groups: younger school age, older school age
  • 50 lessons
  • Afternoon lessons take place two times a week (15:30 – 17:00)

Who are the courses for?

  • Courses are designed for children with basic level of Czech language
  • Only children under the age of 15 from the countries outside of EU, who hold a legal residency status for more than 90 days in Czech Republic
