What courses do we offer?

We offer courses for various levels – from beginners (A1) to pre-intermediate students (A2).

Standard courses

Levels beginner (A1), basic (A2)

  • 100 lessons (100 x 45 minutes) – duration approx. 4 months
  • Topics – family, city, housing and transport, food and drinks, free time, weather, vacations and travelling, shopping, health, work and employment.  
  • Emphasis on grammar, conversation, and reading with understanding

Specialized courses

Permanent residence exam preparation (A1)

  • 50 teaching hours (50 x 45 minutes) 
  • A1 level grammar revision
  • Model tests

Who are the courses for?

The Czech language courses are only designed for non-EU citizens with legal residence in the Czech Republic for a period exceeding 90 days.

The courses are not designed for seekers of international protection.

What are the conditions of participation?

Students pay a refundable deposit of CZK 2,000 prior to the start of the course. The deposit is fully refunded if the student attends at least 70% of the course.

If you finish the ICP course for beginners and successfully pass the final test, you will get the possibility to enroll for the subsequent higher level course. We can’t guarantee you will get into the course taking place at the same time with the same teacher.  

You can study a course at the same level only once in 12 months. The same course can be repeated only once. 

Participation in the course does not constitute eligible grounds for applying for a residence permit for the purpose of studies in the Czech Republic.

Where do the courses take place?

Most of the courses take place at the Integration Centre Prague classrooms at Žitná 51, Prague 1. Some of the advanced courses might  take place in other city districts.

How to apply for Czech language courses for beginner and basic levels (standard)?

There are three simple steps to register.

ATTENTION: Please mind that you can’t change the course once you have registered for it online.


Personal data + test

13th – 28th January 2020

Fill out your personal and contact details. 

Complete our online sorting test, which will determine the level of your Czech. Based on the points you get, the system will offer you only the courses in line with your level on the day of enrolment.


On-line registration for a course

January 28th at 10:00 AM

Online enrolment starts on a specific day and hour and ends with filling up the capacity. 

After logging into the system using your e-mail address, choose a specific course from the available list.

PLEASE NOTE: Capacity of the courses is usually reached during a few seconds after starting the online enrolment. 

Once you successfully enroll online, the registration system will display the following message: “You have been successfully admitted for the course.” You will also see all the information relating to the course (day, time and place of the course, the date the course starts and the  expected end date).


Finishing the registration

After paying the  refundable deposit of 2000 CZK you will receive a payment confirmation. At the first lesson your ID documents will be checked.

Czech language courses for children

from 6 to 15

Registration for the spring 2020 Czech language courses for children has started. You can register using the online form on this page (see below).

What kinds of courses do we offer and whom are they intended for?

  • We offer 2 types of courses: intensive summer courses for children who are beginners, and afternoon courses for children with the basic level of Czech
  • The courses for beginners always take place in July/ August, and the ones for children with the basic level take place during the school year.
  • They are only intended for children under the age of 15 from countries outside of EU, who hold a legal residency status for more than 90 days in the Czech Republic.

Afternoon courses for pre-intermediate level children

  • the children are divided into groups according to their age (6 – 15 years old)
  • 50 lessons
  • afternoon classes take place twice a week for 1,5 hours
  • the courses always take place during the winter and summer semester

Intensive summer courses for children who are beginners

  • the children are divided into groups according to their age (6 – 15 years old)
  • 50 lessons
  • morning/ afternoon classes 5 times a week for 3 hours
  • the courses always take place in July or August

What are the conditions of participation?

  • Registration using the online form on this page.
  • The courses are preceded by a meeting to assess the child’s language level. The meeting is obligatory.
  • Courses for children are free of charge.
