Visit the “Prague is our home:
A common path to integration” website
Our goal is to make integration easier for foreigners, who made the decision to live in the Сzech capital and to provide them with all the important and reliable information in one place. Within the “Prague is our home: A common path to integration” project together with the Prague city hall we have prepared a website for the new coming foreigners and professionals – www.newinprague.cz, where you can find not only thematic articles but also a series of educational videos and communication cards to use during visits at the authorities and official institutions.
The website operates in Czech, English, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and Russian. The main aspect of the website is the guidepost, where the foreigners will answer a few easy questions, upon which the website will generate a list of responsibilities and things that should not be forgotten about after coming to the Czech Republic. The website focuses on the most important questions related to life in Prague within thirteen various topics, for example legal residency, obtaining employment, visiting the Czech language courses, or volunteering possibilities.
Prague is our home website is a continuation of the Prague city hall website https://metropolevsech.eu/, where foreigners will find other, more detailed information about life in Prague and various news or event invitations.
Foreigners can also find a 6-episode series of educational videos on the website, that will provide a more detailed insight into various life situations, such as opening a trade license, orientation in the Czech educational system or Prague children and youth centers or libraries. These videos feature Predrag Bjelac – an actor of Serbian origin, who himself has experience with integration into the Czech society.
The Prague is our home website also offers to download new bilingual cards for foreigners, that help facilitate the mutual communication at the authorities or official institutions. The cards contain the most used communication phrases and a glossary of important vocabulary for the visit of OAMP (MOI), trade office, labor office, drivers registry, libraries, children and youth centers or for a nostrification of a foreign education.
