Support for Migrant Women in Need: Overview of Useful Contacts

Recently, two of our intercultural workers visited the Council for Refugee Women in Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of an Erasmus+ project. This non-profit organization has been supporting women who find themselves in difficult life situations in a foreign country for several decades. Psychosocial Support and Therapy

Shelter Accommodation

Shelter accommodation provides confidential temporary housing for women (with or without children) affected by domestic violence. It is offered by the following organizations:

Labour and Other Forms of Exploitation

  • La Strada ČR (CS/EN/UA/RU and others)

Humanitarian Aid

Even in difficult and uncertain situations, there are places in the Czech Republic where migrant women can find safety, understanding, and professional support. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but a step toward protecting yourself and your children and gradually regaining control over your life. We hope you will never need these contacts for yourself. However, someone in your surroundings—a friend, neighbour, or client—may one day face a challenging situation. In such moments, it is important to know where to turn, how to offer support, and where to safely refer them.
