Finding a job in a new country can be a challenge for anyone, whether you are struggling with a different labor market or are simply unsure about your next steps. At the Integration Centre Prague, we are here to lend a helping hand, guide you,and help you fully reach your potential.

Read the inspiring story of our client Natalia Bochkova, who used our social counseling services and successfully found employment in her field.

Could you briefly introduce yourself and share your story with us?

My name is Natalia Bochkova. I was born in Moldova. After graduating from high school, my mother took me to Moscow so I could study at a university. There I worked as an office worker at various Moscow city offices. I moved to the Czech Republic in 2018, mainly because of better living conditions. I like the peaceful atmosphere and safety here.

What brought you to the Integration Centre Prague and why did you decide to use our social counseling services?

I decided to use career counseling within our social counseling service because I was struggling to find a job and did not understand the reasons behind this problem.

How did your meetings with the counselor go and what did you focus on during them?

During the counseling sessions, we discussed my strengths. We worked on the content of my LinkedIn profile and we also defined my ideal job roles and preferences. After each meeting, I received a summary of the session and recommendations. We also used modern artificial intelligence tools and various other creative tools. I learned a lot of new, up to date, and useful information that helped me achieve my goal.

What fruit did this effort bear and where do you currently work?

I managed to find a job as a specialist officer at an investment company.

Based on your experience, what message would you give to other foreigners looking for a job in the Czech Republic?

To foreigners looking for a job in the Czech Republic, I would recommend never giving up, being responsible, friendly, open minded, seeking professional help, and working on your professional skills. I would definitely recommend the services of the Integration Centre Prague to my friends. Most of all, I would like to recommend counselor Martina Moudrá, who is wonderful and a true professional.
