Living in a new country brings a lot of challenges, official responsibilities, and adapting to a new environment<\/sup>. At the Integration Centre Prague, we help foreigners safely and independently integrate into life in Czech society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read a short interview with our client who moved to the Czech Republic for work<\/sup>. In the interview, she describes her experience with living in Prague and how our free services helped her with official matters at government offices as well as with learning the Czech language<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your journey to the Czech Republic and what do you currently do?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m originally from Nigeria. I moved to the Czech Republic in 2023 for work. I lived in Brno for a year and a few months, then I moved to Prague, and I\u2019ve been living and working in Prague since then.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you enjoy most about life in the Czech Republic and in Prague?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA few things I like about the Czech Republic so far is I\u2019ve made some really good friends, made some great connections, and my work \u2013 I love what I do! I love that I\u2019m discovering new people, new culture, given that Prague is a very multicultural city.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which services of the Integration Centre Prague have you had the opportunity to use?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the Integration Centre, I\u2019ve used almost all of the services! (laughs)\u00a0I used the legal services \u2013 I had a lawyer support me with some legal issues. I have used the translation services \u2013 I\u2019ve been accompanied like a couple or three times now. And currently, I\u2019m taking the Czech language course, which I am enjoying.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How would you rate the assistance and approach of our staff?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe services have been very helpful, most especially the translation service, because I\u2019ve had to do tax returns and I\u2019ve had to go to the labor offices. So having a translator who accompanied me and supported me without making me feel uncomfortable about getting the service for free \u2013 that has really been very helpful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Would you recommend ICP services to other foreigners?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI would 100% recommend ICP to my friends, anybody. I will recommend it not just because it\u2019s free assistance, but because of the way you receive the support. Like I mentioned earlier, you don\u2019t feel guilty or you don\u2019t feel overwhelmed about having somebody\u2019s time and service for free. I\u2019ve always been supported like I am paying for the service, and that\u2019s one thing that stands out for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
