Who is affected by the census?

Not only Czech citizens but also all foreigners who have been in the Czech Republic for more than 90 days are obliged to participate in the Census. You must enumerate yourself in these cases:

When and how does the Census take place?

The electronic Census form will be available from 27 March to 11 May. You can enumerate yourself on the website https://scitani.cz/csu/scitani2021/home. We recommend you to do it online because you will find the forms available in 7 languages: English, German, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese and Romani.

In case you have not enumerated yourself online, you must fill in a paper form, which is only in the Czech language. The paper census will take place from 17 April until 11 May 2021 with the assistance of the Census enumerators.

Attention! The Census is compulsory. If you don’t participate in the Census, you risk a fine of 10 000 Kč.
